BRAZIL: 2 Off-duty Officers Fight in Restaurant - One Dies
GOIAS, (March 2, 2024) — A military police officer from the Federal District was arrested in the act after shooting and killing a military police officer from Goias during a police report of widespread fighting in a bar, in the New Range (GO). The confusion occurred on the night of Saturday (2/3) and was captured by security cameras of the establishment. According to witnesses, the fight began after an apparently drunk woman bumped into the table where DF military police officer Jefferson JDS was. In the images, it is possible to see the moment of the fight and, soon after, the police officer of Goias Diego P is seen fallen to the ground and already wounded by the gunshot. The PM of the DF was arrested in flagrante by murder qualified for futile reason. The case is investigated by the Civil Police of the State of Goias. Diego P was stationed at the Foreign Exchange Operations Command (COD) and leaves behind his wife and son.[/QUOTE]  |
