This is an example of what happens when you disregard the ref's warning of "protect yourself at all times".

I dont think it was the just the hook that killed him, but the landing too. Looks like the back of the guy's head smacked into the mat pretty hard, and his cornermen didnt do him any favors by violently jerking his head and rolling him around like that... looks like he managed to get on his knee/foot on his own but couldnt make it all the way up before falling again. My guess is cerebral edema
