Re: Bondi, Sydney - Mass Shooting
He did take shots at them but the weapon right now rounds wasn't like he was going to swing by the local store to pick up more it wasn't even his firearm he stole off the terrorist if he didn't bravely intervene more people likely be dead too cuz believe it or not he bought a lot of civilians time to get away cuz they interfere with the terrorist that takes a loss still balls to do something like that think about it it's easy to be a keyboard lawyer on here but not many people are going to tackle somebody with a damn shotgun I mean these are the weapons we normally use hut Bears and Wildlife, I have to give him respect for even trying to do something especially when the rest of the civilians are mostly running away but there was others they were trying to help charge the shooter too they even helped and it's in Muslim men that got shot twice by the disgusting felt Isis

Re: Bondi, Sydney - Mass Shooting
Sajid Akram, 50, the father, had a legal firearms licence in New South Wales, Australia. He held it since around 2015 (approximately 10 years), for recreational hunting/vermin control purposes. He was a member of a gun club and possessed a Category A/B licence, which allowed him to own up to six long-arm firearms (such as rifles). He arrived in Australia in 1998 on a student visa. This was later transferred to a partner visa in 2001, and he subsequently held resident return visas (allowing re-entry after overseas travel) for permanent residents. He had long-term residency status in Australia, was a licensed firearms owner, and lived there for over 25 years. His son, Naveed Akram, 24, was born in Australia and therefore an Australian citizen. Naveed Akram had previously completed Koran studies at Al-Murad Institute in Heckenberg, Sydney. He lived with his parents, a younger sister and brother at a three-bedroom home purchased in 2024. His mother said her son enjoyed fishing, swimming, scuba diving and exercising, and had been laid off two months ago when his construction employer became insolvent. Naveed Akram, 24, first came to the attention of ASIO (Australian Security Intelligence Organisation) in October 2019. ASIO investigated him for about six months due to his close associations with a Sydney-based Islamic State (IS) terrorism cell, including connections to convicted IS supporter Isaac El Matari (arrested in July 2019). Authorities assessed him as posing no ongoing or immediate threat at the time, leading to no further intensive monitoring. His father, Sajid Akram, was not previously known to ASIO or police in relation to radicalisation or threats. The whole family should have been monitored longer imo and just in case revoke all gun licenses, especially from close family like the father as they all lived in the same house. Maybe the father was also a sleeper cell and/or he also got pissed off about his son being employed idk but police examining details like a recent trip the pair took to the Philippines and items recovered from a short-term rental property used for preparation. The Philippines serves as a known hotspot for Islamist extremist groups, including affiliates of Islamic State (such as the Islamic State East Asia Province, active in Mindanao). Investigators raise concerns that the pair may have sought or made contacts related to radicalization or training during their time there, given the attack's Islamist extremist motive. |

Re: Bondi, Sydney - Mass Shooting
Muslim extremists are not the same as ordinary Muslims. Blaming an entire group for the actions of extremists is wrong. We do not blame all Buddhists for what a small group has done to minorities in Myanmar. We do not blame all Christians because some pastors have abused children. We do not blame all Hindus for violent attacks against minorities in India. We must learn to separate extremists from the wider community, otherwise hatred will never end.

Re: Bondi, Sydney - Mass Shooting
Are you from a country where the rule of law is not followed? He is not a police officer, he is a civilian. As a civilian, he has no legal authority to shoot another person, especially if the person is unarmed. Taking the law into his own hands is not justified. |
