Oh man, and can you imagine if they had been anti aircraft guns, or nuclear bombs they had, or even a death star!
Or an inexpensive drone with a bomb....

Re: Bondi, Sydney - Mass Shooting

He did take shots at them but the weapon right now rounds wasn't like he was going to swing by the local store to pick up more it wasn't even his firearm he stole off the terrorist if he didn't bravely intervene more people likely be dead too cuz believe it or not he bought a lot of civilians time to get away cuz they interfere with the terrorist that takes a loss still balls to do something like that think about it it's easy to be a keyboard lawyer on here but not many people are going to tackle somebody with a damn shotgun I mean these are the weapons we normally use hut Bears and Wildlife, I have to give him respect for even trying to do something especially when the rest of the civilians are mostly running away but there was others they were trying to help charge the shooter too they even helped and it's in Muslim men that got shot twice by the disgusting felt Isis

you need to learn how to use punctuation, dipshit

Re: Bondi, Sydney - Mass Shooting

How did this happen? Well up to the 70’s Australia’s immigrants came predominately from White Western Nations. Immigrants worked hard, assimilated, they made life’s for themselves here . We were happy.

That changed when the Lebanese came in . Then it was the Chinese, The Vietnamese.

Decades went on ….more Middle Eastern citizens came in then Africans and now Indian. Australia has now changed. Suburbs now full of ethnicities in our big cities. The south Western suburbs of Sydney are now in some respects Muslim Ghettos. Mosques everywhere. Gun crime is out of control.

There are many law abiding Muslims who live there but many DO NOT assimilate, they stick to their own . Run drugs , kill etc….
I'm sure that Aboriginal Australians would laugh their asses off at this myopic assessment.

The guy who snuck up to fight the gunman is a literal legend. Nothing but respect for him, a true man.

Re: Bondi, Sydney - Mass Shooting

Just like the Irish, they come to our brilliant USA to flee their own tater famine stupidity and establish Tammany Hall and promote communism. Then one Irish man Ronald Reagan comes along and cleans up some of the messes created by other Irish and everyone thinks hes a hero.
Well I don't know anything about the politician but most politicians are trash from both sides of the aisle but that being said the Irish got help by the chocolate on Nation Choctaw Nation of course for people from around the world they may not know what that is that's a Native American tribe basically Indians feather Indians that means they were here alone is in North America and South America before the Caucasian race showed up but they helped the Irish people out in fact the Ireland there's a dedication made out metal or aluminum that's a shape of feathers and even the Nation in Oklahoma USA has a dedication to set up for the Irish on their grounds, of course I'm talking about feather Native Americans not the Red Dot Indians from India that white people and others get mixed up

Not one person could shoot back, gun laws can go to hell. All it does is give the crook an advantage.

Re: Bondi, Sydney - Mass Shooting

Your statements are not correct for several reasons.

First, acts of violence in the Bible are presented in a descriptive manner, not as instructions. This is comparable to listening to a true crime podcast that describes how someone was killed and then claiming that it is calling for violence.

Second, many people make the mistake of comparing the books to one another. However, the Qur’an cannot be compared to the Bible at all, because Christians do not regard the Bible itself as sacred, but merely as a piece of paper, and they do not claim that it is free of error. For this reason, it is also not a major issue for Christians if the Bible is burned, because it is simply a book written by humans.

The Qur’an, by contrast, has a transcendent character, since Muslims assume that God’s word has passed from the immaterial realm into the physical world through this book.

Therefore, the Bible cannot be compared to the Qur’an, but rather the Qur’an should be compared to Jesus Christ, because Jesus reflects precisely this idea, namely that God came to earth in the form of Jesus.

One should therefore not fall for this narrative of comparing the two books in this way.
I think you may be responding to something I didn’t actually say.

I wasn’t comparing the Quran to the Bible, nor was I making claims about how sacred texts are understood across religions. I also wasn’t discussing Quranic content at all. The material I responded to is a hadith, and my point was about how it’s being used, not about Islamic doctrine.

The comparison I made was methodological, not theological. It was about the practice of lifting isolated religious text out of context and presenting it as representative of how an entire faith or its followers are meant to behave. That issue exists regardless of which religion is being discussed.

And just to clarify one other point you raised, Christianity itself isn’t monolithic either. Some Christians do view the Bible as the literal word of God and believe everything in it, while others do not. That’s exactly why broad claims about how entire religions or their followers think or behave tend to fall apart.

So this isn’t a debate about Christianity versus Islam, or about how different traditions view their texts. It’s about keeping the discussion grounded in what people actually believe and practice, rather than selectively cherry-picking material to support a generalized narrative.

At this point the discussion is starting to drift away from the actual incident, so I’ll leave it there.
