This wasn’t the Taliban, this was ISIS-K, the Taliban hate them. We’ve been damn lucky that the Taliban have actually let us do the evacuations. Doesn’t make them any better as people, and I don’t doubt that the poor women and Afghans who worked for us westerners who will be left behind will suffer unimaginable pain under their oppression. Hate to give them credit in any way but they have sure have been reasonable in letting us evacuate to the best of our ability. |
