Regarding the post above that attempts to address grabbing the taser of a cop and lethal force, so, the mother in this video (with her small children all around her) should have been executed just like the victim in this thread?


Thankfully, this cop had a brain and knew they weren't a real threat to his life. Although, I will admit he could have been more forceful since they were very stubborn and just wouldn't listen to him even though he seemed to be very fair and impartial.

You need to familiarize yourself with the dynamic nature of "use of force policies" and how they're applied to a given situation. The short version boils down to these 3 questions:
Can I?
Should I?
Must I?

If that officer wanted to shoot her for taking his tazer, he certainly could've, and took a risk by not doing so. However, backup was already on scene and he trusted they'd have his back (but that could've easily backfired because they were also busy). The threat of serious bodily harm isn't the same as the lone cop attempting to detain someone that is suspected of being part of a violent altercation. A jury already ruled on this, so it's not even up for discussion at this point.

Both sides get to select or dismiss jurors, so they had their fair say. If no black jurors were selected, that's 50% on them. It's also irrelevant because it assumes black people can't be biased and that anyone not black IS.

The Hispanic church video supplied is counterproductive to the person posting it. It shows exactly what NOT to do, how to lose control of a situation and failure to use all available options. It's also a perfect example of bad Policing as they completely lost the principle of the call for service, which was an in danger child. In fact it was 3/4 of the way through that video before the supervisor even realized that error. That child could have been taken far away from rescue before they even realized she was gone...

The baton was improperly deployed as well, it was basically everything mishandled that could have been mishandled, what many would call, "FUBAR" or "shit show".

That video is also 100% now training footage for Police departments the world over...

I would love to know the racial makeup of the jury because that verdict doesn’t make sense. US cops really think not listening is grounds for lethal force. I’m a woman and not gonna lie, was pretty wild in my youth. You couldn’t tell me shit if you were an authority figure. One night after the club I was drunk. A cop told me to STFU and get in my car. Instead I kicked his car and basically said go fuck yourself lol . I got charged with a&b on an officer. I was so out of control that the cops couldn’t get me in the backseat and had to call the paddy wagon. When I sobered up I was SO embarrassed. My friends told me the police were beating my ass trying to get handcuffs on me, and tbh I deserved it. The cop that released me joked and said, “that devils brew will get ya every time”. I think all the time how grateful I am that this was 2002...before cops became militarized, trigger happy psychos. An act of immature defiance could have sealed my fate. I feel like when you’re drunk you’re just not thinking logically. Shooting and murdering someone for not following commands and escalating a non violent situation into a death sentence is fucking sadistic. Pigs like this fat nazi need to be eradicated. When people say they hate cops, THIS is who they’re talking about.
