Seriously if you live in a high rise apartment, there’s no excuse not to get a rope or rope ladder to keep on your balcony. They are cheap enough and can prevent one of the most painful deaths imaginable.

Re: ~Bodybuilder Burned Alive In His Apartment~
I just moved to Scotland and the law is every house must have smoke alarms wired to the mains supply with backup batteries. I thought it was a bit over the top, but watching this kinda makes me grateful for it now. Those screams hurt to listen to. I'm fucking off to YT for half an hour to sort my head out now.

Re: ~Bodybuilder Burned Alive In His Apartment~
It sounds from the summary like he woke his wife and sent her to save the daughter, then went to save the dog himself, but that his wife ran into an obstacle and had get help instead to where the neighbors had to save the daughter (who by then had 70% burns so might die anyway.) In other words this guy died after getting trapped trying to save his dog while his daughter was still being burned alive, so if that’s how it went down I don’t have THAT much sympathy for him. His priority should’ve been ensuring the safety of his kid and only then to worry about saving the dog.
