Body of Man Whose Corpse Had Been Devoured by Fish Is Recovered From River
The body of a man identified as O.R., aged 46, was found in the Guaporé River on Monday (1). The victim was on a vessel transporting cattle when he disappeared for around three days. Although several people were on the boat at the time - including a city councilman - no one could say how or when the victim fell into the river. The victim's body was found by members of the public near Costa Marques, Rondônia state, Brazil. By this point, the body had been mostly eaten away, likely by piranhas. Identification was only possible by the clothes he was wearing. The police are investigating whether the vessel's crew were drinking alcohol. |
