Bodies of Two Women Who Were Shot Dead in Colombia
Pereira, Risaralda, Colombia. I strongly advise reading the replies below, which suggests the information below is inaccurate. In the early hours of the 25th, the bodies of two women were found face-down besides a rural road. One of the women had been shot eight times, whilst the other had been shot three times in the head. They were preliminarily identified by the aliases 'La Mona' and 'La Barbie'. The body of a man, identified as 'Chamo', was found nearby, along with a piece of paper which accused the two women of having committed crimes against children (EDIT: Apparently the letter may have been invented by some journalist - see reply #13): |

Re: Bodies of Two Women Who Were Shot Dead in Colombia
Staying in Colombia, 34-year-old Gloria E.V.M. was found dead on the Caucasia-Zaragoza road in Antioquia. Her throat had been slit, and she had also suffered severe head trauma. As of last report, no relatives had come forward to claim her body. There was no word on the motive behind her death. |

Re: Bodies of Two Women Who Were Shot Dead in Colombia
So here's an antemortem photo of 'La Mona' when she was arrested back in January. FWIW, the crime she was charged with was recruiting older teens to do webcam shows in a studio apartment. She did most of the grooming/recruiting for the organization through social media. It is arguable whether the girls were paid or just indentured, but it sounds like basically they got clothes and some trinkets and stuff, not paychecks or anything. They were certainly exploited. In any case, all of her victims were between 16 and 17. Yes, still minors. But she wasn't out sending little babies to weirdos in India to eat and chop up or something. She wasn't kidnapping the girls or chaining them in dungeons. They came to her place because she promised to give them stuff, shot some videos, then went back to their lives until the next shooting day. Obviously it is still reprehensible and illegal. She needed to be punished for it. And she would have gone to prison through due process if they'd waited until sentencing instead of just murdering her on the street. If someone thinks that recruiting 17-year-olds to make Onlyfans videos is worth a death sentence, well...that's between them and their god, I suppose. And the authorities, who will also gladly prosecute them for murder. That's neither here nor there, I just figured I would add a little additional basis to the post by actually indicating what she did. Vigilantes are all fine and good if the law fails, but the law was in motion on this woman and would have done its job, most likely. Anyway, all of that was just general commentary. Not directed at Crux or anyone specific. Crux, great post. I cannot definitively pick out which corpse is Mona's since neither face is visible. But the one who shit all over herself in the pink shorts doesn't seem to have the right calf tattoo that Mona is demonstrating in the perp photo, so I am guessing Mona is the one in the tight black pants. |

Natalia and Mayerli were the two young women found killed in Yarumito. Authorities confirmed there was no sign, no torture. They were shot on several occasions The victims, identified as Mayerli P. P. and Natalia C. B, had gunshot blows to the head and their bodies were thrown alongside a road as if they were trash. According to reports, they had gone out in an Uber for a ride as they regularly do. An informal transport driver found the gruesome scene and warned authorities. Mayerli was the sentimental partner of Jhonathan Eleázar Gomez, aka Tatan, a man who was killed in July during a settlement. Coincidence? Silence her for what she knew? Revenge? Families of the young women, from popular sectors of Pereira and Armenia, demand justice. "They were not criminals, they were working women with dreams," said an aunt of one of the victims, in the middle of tears. Authorities are investigating whether it is a femicide, settlement of accounts or a case related to illegal trafficking or microtrafficking networks, assumptions handled with full reserve. |

Re: Bodies of Two Women Who Were Shot Dead in Colombia
I am curious as to what specific crime this lady was charged with. "Recruiting for webcam shows," per se, is not a crime anywhere. Since the age of consent in Columbia is 14 there was, apparently, no crime committed in her dealings described above. Whether or not the girls were "victims" or "exploited" is a matter of one's personal viewpoint. According to the above account, they engaged in voluntary transactions with the murdered ladies. Again, what was illegal (in Columbia) about any of this? |
