From personal experience I can tell you that having someone comforting you when you feel like dying is useless.
I was in that situation due to heart problems and I felt completely alone despite having someone by my side, when you feel death coming closer and closer you feel completely alone and isolated, strange enough you also fully accept what is coming without fear, I wasn't afraid to die but also got this strange sensation that I had nothing, as if I had suddely lost all my material posessions, my relatives, everything.

I'm not religious so I didn't feel any need to pray to a god or such a thing, nor I felt a necessity to ask anything to a "higher power", I was ready to go into oblivion.

I don't argue that at all, and I hope you're doing alright. Seems like a heavy experience of which I am ignorant. I moreso just meant it's nice to see bystanders trying to do something besides gawk and take pictures.

I watched a case on CrimeWatch Uk, this man was shot and his brother got to the scene while he was still alive. And the dying brother told him he couldn’t see anything but he could hear him. Even though he had his eyes open. And I think he said he couldn’t hear anything either.
It was terrible seeing the grief the brother was in just retelling those last moments of his brothers.

I personally have not accepted death yet. Like it fkn scares me.
And I watch some of these videos and wonder if the victims realize their fate and just accept it in those few last moments before the killer kills them.
