Birthday Girl Lost Her Life Over a Mobile Phone
In the early hours of yesterday morning (13th August 2018) in Porto Velho, Edilania Lopes Neto, who was celebrating her 18th birthday with her family, was shot dead. Edilania, who worked at an amusement park, was with her boyfriend when she was approached by 2 armed people. They demanded that Edilania hand over her mobile phone. When she refused, they shot her in the chest + she lost her life. The gunmen fled the scene. Just a short time before her death, Edilania had posted on her FaceBook profile, thanking everyone for their birthday wishes.
