I think the truck driver could have braked quickly [whether the end result would have been different is debaitable ],but at least he got out to admire his handiwork.  |

You can see the smoke from the wheels when the truck driver breaks. Breaking a truck is not as easy as braking a car. It takes longer to come to a stop.
