Biker Salto Mortale Ends on Car Roof After Being Hit by Dui Driver
Malaysia. This morning a a Honda City, driven by a man in his 20's, was reportedly traveling at high speed and driving recklessly. The driver attempted to overtake several vehicles, entered the opposite lane, and collided head-on with an oncoming motorcycle. The motorcyclist, a local man in his 30's, was thrown onto a Perodua Myvi by the impact. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to severe injuries. The driver of the Honda City was arrested after testing positive for alcohol and drugs during preliminary screening. For driving under the influence causing death. If convicted, he faces 10 to 15 years in prison and a fine between RM50,000 and RM100,000. For drug consumption, carrying a fine of up to RM5,000 or up to two years in prison. |

Strange road markings. It’s interesting that the accident occurred in the yellow striped zone. It’s quite possible that area is meant for accidents like this. Had the accident occurred before of after the yellow striped zone it would’ve been a worse outcome for everyone.   |

Thank you for flying Gumby Air! For a second I thought 'Salto Mortale' might be one of the involved parties' names. :) Except for it being de rigeur to stop when one is involved in an accident, the car receiving the donorcycle rider could've just driven right on to the hospital for harvesting. |

Almost everyone can speak English in Malaysia, though mostly they stick to their own language when among family or close friends. But yeah what they just saw shocked the English right out of them. |
