When you are in shock and pain overload. The pituitary gland releases masses of Endorphins to try to calm you and reduce blood preassure. Stopping forceful bleeding. The fact that you are smoshed is not in your head at the time because your brain has a failsafe of denial when massive trauma is endured. Again to protect the living body. It's acually quite amazing how far a human body can endure trauma and survive.

I'm thinking this was something like... a guy gets a new bike and says "Hey follow me and video me as I ride around on my new bike!" He looks back at the camera to impress his friends or whatever, looses his line on the road, and gets target fixation and is unable to swerve in time.

But damn. Every time I see a motorcycle crash, it makes me absolutely fear ever wanting to ride my bikes again. It's just not worth the risk anymore. Just my own personal opinion.

I'm not so sure. Look at the very beginning. He's goofing around. He's got his feet tucked up behind him on the pillion. He was either showing off or is just really stupid.

I stand corrected. I didn't see the blinker until you mentioned it. Still wondering why he had his feet up on the rear seat. Maybe just stretching and resting from a long stretch in the seat perhaps? And then he signalled and looked, saw the car and had to delay the lane change. And he just mis-interpreted the curve in the road by a hair.

If anything, it just shows how a split-second loss of attention on a motorcycle can ruin your day.
