Re: Biker Hits the Brakes and Slip Slides into Oncoming Truck

I think he was just being funny, ahaha!

So many electronic devices I've had (that have had a date automatically), have always been the year 1970 - 13 years before I was even born!
Yup, 1 Jan 1970 is the epoch for the original UNIX/Linux time & date system. So on those types of systems a time/date value of 0 is translated into 1/1/1970.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unix_time

That system will cease to work in the year 2038 because it won't be possible to represent dates after that, and they will probably wrap back around to 1970. Yes, it's Y2K all over again!

Re: Biker Hits the Brakes and Slip Slides into Oncoming Truck

I've done a lot of two wheel racing and I never use the rear brake. Always the front. Whether dirt or street and this is why. Just no traction with the rear tire during braking. In motocross I was replacing front brake pads every week and only used the rear brake to level my bike mid air through rotational inertia.
