I honestly believe that and that is the very reason we have no got another motorcycle. And yes, I so totally believe my husband is a very smart man. I am very lucky to have found a man that loves me and our kids more than himself. We have been married for 30 years and also have the added benefit of working together.

I thought so too. I watched it several times to see what he did wrong besides the obvious going twice the speed limit. He wasn't aggressive enough turning his bike. But I think its possible he thought he was going to miss the van. The first bike hit so hard it actually made the van rotate a little and move backwards a couple feet. Those couple feet is what he hit. I like watching vids like this to try and learn from them. Especially the helmet cams, gives you a good view of what they see, so you can put yourself in the situation and what your first and second response would be. It looks to me like he just didn't react quickly, and maybe thought he was clear for an instant, maybe that's why he didn't react. It's not easy to train yourself, but in that situation you shouldn't look at the van, or your friend flying in the air. but at where you want your bike to be and just concentrate on getting it there as fast as possible. |

Nik, idk if you ride too, but shit like this happens WAY too fast to make any decisions like that - especially when you watch your friend kill himself one second before that thought process even begins.
