As opposed to car accidents? The reason you see lots of bike accidents in the death section is that bike accidents are more often fatal due to the rider being more vulnerable than car drivers. Car smashes aren't nearly as fatal and as such it would be pointless posting them in the death vids even though they occur much more often.

^^Balanced analysis - kudos. I would also add that bikes are more prevalent than cars in the 3rd world due to cost so it's natural to see lots of bike wrecks in those parts of the world.

As for this video.. middle east + explosion = bomb somewhere in the mix.

Fuel tanks and fuel in general does not explode like this( internal combustion engines work on deflagration, not detonation ). A gas tank itself wont burn either...the fuel must be mixed with air first. Take a bucket of petrol and light it up. It wont explode...it just burns.
Some very powerful bombs use high explosive "core" inside a fuel tank to blow up the tank, turn the fuel into fine mist that will then detonate under the right circumstances. It is quite difficult to do and wont happen on its own.

Quick googling about this video seems to suggest that the guy was a known criminal. My guess is that it was an assassination via explosives.

Wonder if it was a MOSSAD hit, done by the car to the bike's left as he drove down the road. I know the Israeli's had motorcyclists drive alongside nuclear researcher's cars in Iraq, slap explosive packages with magnets to their car doors, accelerate away, and detonate the bombs as they were 100 feet in front of the car. They killed most of Iraq's nuclear scientists this way.

This is spot on. I rode in my younger days, and have the same experiences with regard to car drivers. To this day I pay special attention to bike riders when out in my car.

I just found out the Israelis did that same thing in Iran as well, knocking off Iran's top nuclear engineers with magnet bombs, placed by motorcycle riders.

I’ve been so unfortunate enough to have been on the receiving end of an IED being detonated, I also have been riding for over 15 years - the explosion absolutely originated from the bike itself. You wouldn’t have seen a fireball like that had it been detonated from a close proximity, hell not even a land mine would have looked like that. I think it was attached to or very close to the gas tank based on the fireball it created.

Pretty sure that resulted in him being “killed instantly” and he never felt a thing
