Our "western Democratic" Allies in Syria declare a "Robin Hood brigade", talk about liberating Spain and "Cleansing filth in Iraq". <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Ps70vl33McY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Re: Being Shot in the Street - Syria
the opposite might be closer to the truth These people are Shia, they believe that it's their religious duty to kill Salafis and maintain the Baathist IRANIAN proxy state, and consider Salafis to be heretics , regardless if they are in Pakistan,Iraq, or Syria. If these are left in power over Syria there won't be any freedom for any Sunni. |

Re: Being Shot in the Street - Syria
if thats what people want to vote for then in essence this is what Democracy is about the right to elect your own government and if the majority choose a bunch of Islamic Fundamentalists then so be it. who are we to argue against that? Egypt has been under the rule of fundamentalist Caliphates for centuries, they did not tear down the Sphinx in all that time |

Re: Being Shot in the Street - Syria
Except it isn't , shias are killed everyday in Pakistan and Iraq by these religious fanatics. I don't agree with or support Bashars Government but Syria will be worse off if these Salafis come to power and turn Syria into a backward state.
