The problem with your scenario is if the victim tries to run off, there is no telling where they will shoot you, if they even shoot you at all. There are at least two instances where I’ve seen victims try to run off or fight back. In both cases, that resistance only prolonged their suffering. One was in Iraq (I believe) and the other was the kidnapped Italian in maybe Afghanistan.

I guess you’ll never know unless you try… hopefully it won’t ever come to that and we can just go on pondering outcomes from different scenarios for hundreds of others that are posted here. Just because you’ve seen something once or twice doesn’t mean that it’s a standard or a decided outcome. You never know until you try.

Pretty uninformed take, but whatever works for you. One of the purposes of this site is to give insight into what really happens behind-the-scenes in incidents where the media prohibits the release of footage. That’s your prerogative to ignore it, but then, that’s simply ignorance.

I’ve long heard that the loudest one in the room is the weakest one. Perhaps, that’s something to think about with your imagined claims of bravado here. In reality, you’d likely pee your pants before being executed; quite the opposite of the calm demeanor the victim here displayed in accepting his fate.
