"Oh Jesus shit this thing is too heavy, drop and run away! Fuck me! This guy is out like a light! Uh, oh, he's not breathing, I guess we're fucked now! Lets see, get our stories straight, get the blow, testosterone and HGH out of this guys gym bag, he won't be needing them anymore!"

Re: Barbell Snaps 33-year-old Bodybuilding Influencer's Neck in Gruesome Gym Mishap
If you need a "spotter" (especially for a maximal, 1-rep lift)—it means the weight you selected is not within your current lifting capabilities. If you're this weak for that particular amount of weight, that you completely collapse, it means you're an idiot, consumed by vanity, who has no business fucking around with Olympic weightlifting. Stick to bodybuilding, and you'll live. Looking at his physique, accomplished as he was in terms of looks and small-time parade hypertrophy—he's clearly a wannabe semi-pro bodybuilder, and definitely not a powerlifter, let alone even a semi-pro Olympic weightlifter. The deep-squat is an extraordinary exercise, with full range of motion, and requisite demands in terms of form and strength—and this guy here had none, certainly not for such massive weight. There is no need for "spotting" in proper Olympic weightlifting—what a couple of morons. |

Re: Barbell Snaps 33-year-old Bodybuilding Influencer's Neck in Gruesome Gym Mishap
the squat is not an OLYMPIC movement, and never has been. furthermore....we dont know what really happened.... maybe he hit the hole and slipped a disc?? maybe out of the hole he tore a quad???nothing you can do but dump it...maybe he has done this weight before... bottom line is...this should have been dumped INSIDE the rack. thats what its there for. the only thing worse i can think of is doing curls outside the power rack |
