Assassin Blows Himself Up While Rigging Ukrainian Intel Agent’s Car

Security camera footage reportedly captures an event that occurred in Kiev on April 4, 2019 in which a would-be assassin blows himself up while attempting to rig an improvised explosive device (IED) to the underside of a Ukrainian SBU intel agent’s car.

The video shows the suspect and his dog casually strolling through a parking lot. Suddenly, the man ducks down behind the target vehicle to plant the explosive. For reasons unknown, the device prematurely detonates while it is still in the perpetrator’s hand.

The badly wounded suspect was taken to the hospital, but later died of his injuries. There are mixed reports as to the man’s identity, but one source suggests he was from Kyrgyzstan, although his alliances and motives remain unreleased due to the nature of the incident.

His target is said to have been a Ukrainian Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) intelligence agent. Although Russia has not yet been blamed, the regularity of FSB-outsourced assassinations on Ukrainian soil makes for quick assumptions

Well, that blew up in his face i'm surprised he didn't die at the spot. Hope the dog was okay but couldn't find any article mentioning the dog's survival or not.
