Brazil, Armed hooded men wearing ballistic vests invaded a residence in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba. In the house there were two men and one woman. The shooters executed one of the men and the other wounded man fled from the residence. The woman also ended up shot but was rescued and referred to the Municipal Hospital.

The injured man managed to run for about two blocks, stopped and sat in front of a business. What he did not expect was that the hitmen would follow him in a car. Three got out of the car and executed the man. CCTV of the business registered the action.

After the shooting, the perpetrators fled in a Gol vehicle and also in a vehicle Punto. In Independencia Avenue the armed men who were in the Gol were surprised by the MP that were going to attend the shooting. There was a confrontation and one of the men who was wearing a ballistic vest and armed with a 9mm glock pistol was shot and died on the spot. The police was not injured in the action.

Another perp managed to flee into a thicket but was surrounded and imprisoned.

The third participant of the crime fled in the vehicle Punto but was approached in another street. There he got out of the vehicle and took a woman hostage. The police officers negotiated with this criminal who gave himself up shortly afterwards.

The motivation of the executions are still unknown. The woman is still hospitalized.

After seeing what happens in Brazilian prisons, why would anyone commit a crime there, and surrender to police? You'd be better off killing yourself or letting the cops do it for you.

The cops must be finding a lot of dud acp rounds at murder scenes. I wonder if finding whole cartridges helps the cops more than just finding shell casings.

The lack of rifle marks wouldn't help much I guess. but then they don't necessarily have any shells yet so anything's better than a casing, maybe.
