An armed attack in Barranquilla left three people dead and one injured. In the overnight incident, two attacks occurred in the La Esmeralda and Carrizal neighborhoods. The first occurred at Carrera 13C and Calle 73, in La Esmeralda, where gunmen opened fire, leaving two people dead, identified as Simón Enrique Serpa Barrio and Arturo José Freily, and one person injured, identified as Samuel Espitian. Simultaneously, in the Carrizal neighborhood, Edwin de Jesús Peinado Jiménez was murdered, who was sleeping in his home when he was attacked with gunfire. Authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident.
