"The train came & struck him". As someone who has lived right next to a railroad track for 40 years: IT'S A FUCKING TRAIN TRACK, A TRAIN NEVER DEVIATES, IT'S ALWAYS ON THE TRACK, IT'S THE ONLY WAY A TRAIN CAN TRAVEL. It would be much better to say this idiot struck the train.
