Those electric trains are surprisingly quiet. I remember how quiet they were when I lived in Europe, so like a person with a brain I stayed the fuck away from railroad tracks at all times unless I was catching a train. Some people just have zero awareness.

Yep. I always check before crossing streets both as a driver and especially as a pedestrian. Just yesterday I had to wait for some jagoff who was walking in the road while talking on his phone of course, in front of a public parking garage (my left turn in). All full of entitlement and empty headedness. That's one of the worst places for you to not be aware of your surroundings.
