Re: Another Sword Beheading
Whilst the brain may live for up to a minute or so after decapitation, the precipitous drop in blood pressure means you will actually lose consciousness in a mere 3-5 second. That's better than the clumsy way a lot of the "rusty knife" beheadings are done. If I needed to die by the sword, I'd be asking for this guy.

Re: Another Sword Beheading
The Saudis are real pros at this. One swift swipe of the neck, no mess, no fuss, and none of that agonizingly slow sawing off of the head with a dull knife as favored by al-Qaeda and the Taliban. A photographer my cousin knew who lived in Saudi Arabia for a long time says public beheadings take place nearly every Sunday in the town square <object width="464" height="408" id="1634534" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" alt="EMBED-only in saudi arabia must free videos"><param name="movie" value="http://embed.break.com/MTYzNDUzNA=="></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://embed.break.com/MTYzNDUzNA==" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess=always width="464" height="408"></embed></object><br><font size=1><a href="http://www.break.com/usercontent/2010/1/only-in-saudi-arabia-must-1634534" target="_blank">EMBED-only in saudi arabia must </a> - Watch more <a href="http://www.break.com" target="_blank">free videos</a></font> |
