M. Díaz, son of the late and famous Colombian Vallenato singer Diomedes Díaz, died in a traffic accident.

He collided with a utility pole and died at the scene. Police investigation showed that the cause of the accident, of "the mischievous/naughty Moses", as his father called him, would have been speeding and poor road conditions.

The body of the 20-year-old, remained for almost an hour in his car until the power was shut off from the powerlines.

Tragic scenes showed how his mother arrived at the accident scene and suffered an emotional break down. (Vid 3)

On March 13, M. Díaz, who leaves two children, suffered another traffic accident but escaped unscathed.

Just three years ago, on April 14, 2017, the Díaz dynasty lost their son, the talented Martín Elías.

The 26-year-old singer suffered a traffic accident when he was returning to Valledupar after giving a concert in Coveñas.

Although Martín Elías was transferred to the Santa María de Sincelejo clinic, he did not survive.

Their father, Diomedes Díaz, who passed away in December 2013, had 18 children. Although his legacy for Vallenata music is invaluable, his life was surrounded by scandals.

Diomedes Diaz was widely regarded as one of the best singer-songwriters of vallenato, a Colombian folk music style.

He won a Latin Grammy award for the best vallenato album in 2010 and had just released a new CD, La Vida del Maestro (Life of the Master).

Diaz led a tempestuous life, serving time in jail over the death of a fan at a party in his home.

His wife found him dead in his bed after suffering a heart attack in his hometown of Valledupar.

Diaz often showed up late to concerts or not at all, something his fans put down to his addiction to drugs and alcohol.

In 1993, concert-goers trashed the stage and stole valuable equipment when Diaz failed to show up at a concert in the town of Baranoa.

Despite his frequent no-shows, he was one of Colombia's most popular artists, whose devoted fans became known as Diomedistas.

He sold more than 20 million albums over the course of his career, which began at an early age on the Caribbean coast.

Born in the northern province of La Guajira in 1957 to poor parents, he would often take to the stage at local parties.

His uncle, an accordion player, was the first to recognise his talent as a singer.

Diaz also wrote and composed songs and, while he worked as a bicycle messenger for a local radio station, his song La Negra was aired for the first time.

Jail time
In 1997, at the height of his career and shortly before the launch of his album Mi Biografia (My Biography), a fan and friend of Diaz, Doris Adriana Nino, was found dead by the side of a highway in Tunja province.

Forensic experts at first said that she had died of a heart attack following a drug overdose at a party hosted by Diaz, but a later forensic report suggested she had been suffocated.

After a lengthy trial, Diaz was sentenced to 12 years in jail for homicide, a sentence which was later reduced to six years.

Diaz, who had been put under house arrest, went on the run when he was due to be transferred to jail, allegedly hiding away in an area controlled by the infamous paramilitary leader known as Jorge 40.

He handed himself in to the authorities in 2002 and, after having his sentence further reduced, was released in 2004.

He rebuilt his career and released six more albums, the latest one just three days before his death.

Hundreds of people took to the streets of his hometown of Valledupar upon learning of his death.

The town's mayor has declared four days of mourning.

His manager, Joaquin Guillen, said that "death would not silence [Diomedes Diaz], his fans and his songs will keep him alive".

Karma certainly a b**** all the scandals is family went through is coming back to haunt them like the Kennedys. I mean 18 children..... give me a break. Then on top of that yeah he had a drug and alcohol problem, which isn't surprising with most celebrities. but the one thing you don't want to do is piss off your fans or s*** on them and that's one thing he did. By not showing up to his shows or showing up late....... that's pathetic! I mean what else do you have to do with your life that's what you do for a living and you can't even do that right and he actually had fans in the end. that's the real travestyhere.... that anybody actually gave a s*** about him in the end cuz he didn't give a damn about the people who made him famous where would he be without them! and I think a lot of these celebrities forget tha! Nobody reminded him where he came from and what he had to do to get there. but of course his family was in trench into Scandals and corruption . Karma can take only so much of that b******* and it'll come back and haunt you. remind me of the Kennedy family. Cuz the Kennedy's came from corruption and Scandals .Joe Kennedy was up to his ears in corruption(Scandals)and Mafia related crimes. Especially during prohibition I mean the Kennedy ran the alcohol in Chicago if it wasn't for them there would have been no alcohol coming into that City illegally. And Joe Kennedy was a womanizer he was an alcoholic probably a drug addict to. Like father like son and we wanted these morons running our country there is a reason JFK was assassinated. But we were Saved by the Bell cuz if he hadn't died we probably would have been forced into World War 3 with the Russians. I mean we didn't need an addict running this country either and JFK was a speed addict. Kind of reminds me of Adolf Hitler not to the extreme. And then his brother the Attorney General he was murdered by Sirhan Sirhan. And you know if he hadn't been murdered he probably would have been president of this country and we didn't need another Kennedy in office Saved by the Bell again. Basically where I'm trying to get with this is karma's a b**** doesn't matter who you are how popular you are what kind of celebrity you are. you do wrong by other people treat people with disrespect it'll come back to you.

That story didn't have anything to do with a kid getting in the accident had to do with his father it sucks that his son died though in that accident and I was just relating his father and their family to the Kennedys. Sorry but I'll let the story get the best of me I had to speak my mind
