Yeah, no shit. They kept him alive as long as possible so he could feel the entire thing... They’ve done it so often they are learning how to make it even more brutal. A simple beheading turns into an exercise in pain and torture. Which is ironic, because beheading is typically used because it’s considered a quick humane method to kill.
