Re: Albuquerque PD Releases Video of Controversial Shooting
Really???????? Guns are not the problem.. Its the moron that operates the weapon.. Just because your country doesn't have the right to have their own weapons mean that its the correct way.. Even if we had laws that prohibited the possession of firearms, it would not stop the violence.. Fact is, there are too many guns in the U.S. to remove and it would be impossible to even put a 50% dent in that if we prohibited gun ownership. We used our guns to drive away the tyrants and make our own country.. We used are guns in all the major conflicts worldwide.. It is what it is.. Dont be resentful at the gun.. Be resentful at the man behind the gun |

Re: Albuquerque PD Releases Video of Controversial Shooting
I'm waiting for the day a cop is gunned down by a normal law abiding person fearing for their life. And to all the cop lovers, I know there are good cops, but when the bad ones are protected by insiders, htf are we the public to trust em? It's like they have a ticket to murder, all they have to say is "thought he had wep" Oh ok steve! Right on then go home with pay while we do a fake investigation. Don't worry about it bro, you have an excuse.

that's following law by the book. and thats good. although i'd feel silly as hell waiting for the green light in the middle of a deserted nowhere crossroad with the red lights on just because i want to follow by the book. point: there are always an exception to every rule. ask any congressman or senator that when any of their family got involved in any crime. |

Furthermore, a cop is not gonna ask "is that a brake pad or a knife you're pointing at us?" Especially with someone they have knowledge of them wanting take the "suicide by cop" route. I'm not a cop lover by any means, but some of you haters are REDICULOUS!

Re: Albuquerque PD Releases Video of Controversial Shooting
I understand where docfr8 is coming from, but the less cops act like mindless robots, the better it is for the rest of us. If you're too fucking stupid to see that the person you've just shot 10 times is incapacitated, then we're all in a great deal of trouble.

Re: Albuquerque PD Releases Video of Controversial Shooting
Theopod, if thats the way you would perform your duties as a cop you would be dead in a week. It is Police policy in every jurisdiction in the US to handcuff a suspect that has been shot. They dont need their hands regardless if they are dead or still alive. I mean... at what point do you decide if someone is incapacitated? 1 shot? (I dont think so) 2 shots? 5 shots? Or even ten shots.Who knows? There is always the possibility that they may still have a weapon and use it. Dont think that it hasn't happened in the past. Actually, not cuffing them would be acting like a mindless robot. Not the other way around. Its always better to be on the side of caution than be dead, but then again you are probably not a trained Police officer so you wouldn't know that. Think outside the box brotha!. |
