Re: Alan Henning Beheading Vid
This is somewhat accurate. Isis is lead by much more organized, and intelligent extremists. They know that the footage and audio of the actual beheading is far more shocking and gruesome than simply showing the before and after. They are trying to strike fear in the enemy but at the same time gain support from moderate muslims. Showing the brutality of the entire video might turn many potential allies away from them.

Re: Alan Henning Beheading Vid
It's extremely important that these videos are made public so that people aren't being denied access to information that allows you to personally evaluate and form an opinion on the matter. Additionally, I feel that somehow, these brave victims would want to be seen. They lost their lives, the least we could do is watch what they had to go through before they died. I feel obligated to watch. But if you don't, that is also your choice. It's important that the choice is left up to us, rather than censoring the truth. Full transparency is always the better route.

Re: Alan Henning Beheading Vid
Why doesn't the UK government take this shit seriously, Cameron you are a fucking coward, how can you not see that Islam in its most extreme form is funded by Islam in the UK. I am disgusted, and so is the UK but you continue to think its a small matter to the average person in the UK. Absolutely disgusting.

Re: Alan Henning Beheading Vid
I absolutely refuse to watch these ISIL alleged decapitation videos. Don't get me wrong, it's not because I'm squeamish or have any opposition to gore, or videos of violence. I wouldn't otherwise be a member of this site. I just don't want to give these cretins another audience member. They are cowards. I don't want to be another anonymous face feeling threatened or terrorised by their agenda. If these innocent captives truly have been murdered by ISIL, I really do feel for them and the utter fear and hopelessness/helplessness they must have felt during their captivity and impending deaths on camera to further a ridiculous political agenda. My heart aches for their families. I can't even imagine the pain they must be feeling. But, I still refuse to be another human being who feels threatened by ISIL. I refuse to give them that satisfaction. I refuse to let their violence and terror impact the way I think and influence my political views. |

Re: Alan Henning Beheading Vid
Did anyone else notice poor Alan's screams prior to the edit? Also, as with the Foley execution you can also see the blood gushing from his neck right before the edit... Anyone doubting these as authentic really needs to get their head's examined. Poor Alan died screaming as did Nick Berg 10 years ago... The Islamic State are very good documenting their crimes. Just as the Nazis did years ago, they documented everything... One day, hopefully during a raid on Ar-Raqqa or Deir ez-Zor (and hopefully with the killing of Jihadi John) we will probably run across a hard drive with all of the unedited footage and videos of other executions that were never made public. I do believe that the hard drive will have FULL disk encryption; as according to UK sources, Jihadi John's (Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary) two co-horts are computer nerds and would take proper precautions of course. They would encrypt everything, but that doesn't mean it can't be cracked... The Islamic State has a very impressive media outlet (Al-Furqan Media, Al-Hayat Media, etc...) with many magazines and newpapers in English (The Islamic State Report, Islamic State News, etc...) in very nicely rendered pdf files... They include phone numbers of the head of police affairs in Ar-Raqqa and the head of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs (Abu Mohamed), which I called several times over the period of 3 days (around 9 am Syria time) and I spoke with Abu Mohamed in my broken Arabic regarding if he knew about the detainees. At first, he told me to "goto hell" and hungup. I then called back and confirmed that I was Al-Amirki (American) and asked him how the airstrikes were affecting him. He said they succeed in doing nothing but killing the innocent. I asked him regarding the detainees and he confirmed that there were more than 50 and that he knew that they were being held in two separate places well within Ar-Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor... He suggested that I fly over to Turkey and cross the border into Syria to join them (the detainees) if I cared so much. I replied that just because of circumstance doesn't mean that he has to be a bad person and that if he could tell me or someone in the intel community (someone with local ties to the CIA or some middleman) or even better to release them on his own, then that would make him a good person in the face of bad circumstance. He replied with and I quote "the only thing that I would do to them would be to spit and piss on their orange jump-suit wearing infidel asses" and then again taunted me to come join them and speak to him in person. At that point, I really didn't know what to say. All of these people are insane and seem to have no value for human life whatsoever... I mean they publish these phone numbers and I actually called to try and help and or do something. I now know that he says they have over 50 detainees in two separate cities. Wether he is telling the truth or not, I don't know but he was mean as hell. I felt his evil presence over the phone line. If anyone wants, I can provide the numbers for these people and you call call them yourself (I can tell you exactly what to press to reach them from the states) You'll need to know some basic Arabic and to understand it, as English is just not used over there... I wish I could do more or ask something more substantial, but he was unwilling to help or even deliver a message to the detainees for me... I asked him also if he thought killing another fellow Sunni Muslim was okay (Peter Kassig converted over there) and I was referring to Kassig, and he said he's not a true Muslim and only converted to try and "save his white neck" and laughed at me. This shit is absolutely crazy. Any ideas on what I should do or ask these people in the future? I'm under the impression that while he does seem to hate everything about me and my circumstance as al-Amirki, that I did have a bit of a rapport with him. He has stopped hanging up on me and just simply referrs to me as an "annoyance." What should I do/ask? If I'm able to talk directly with a simple phone call to these people who know exactly where the detainees are, and are willing to actually communicate with me, why hasn't our intelligence community done something similar? Maybe they have? He claims nobody but local people call and considers it annoying when I phone but he "has nothing better to do" sometimes... Thanks for any suggestions in advance. -HDs |
