Re: Alabama - 12 Killed Including 10 Children in Crash
I wonder if the baby was in a rear facing seat. They have over 90% chance of reducing injury and death due to their ability to nullify deceleration. Forward facing seats only have a 60 odd % chance. They just restrain, they don’t prevent injury. On older children they even cause broken legs and arms. |

Re: Alabama - 12 Killed Including 10 Children in Crash
I live in Huntsville and since I travel for work, i can say that there's always terrible accidents along I-65. At least once or twice a month. Bad weather usually have something to do with it. I saw a car on the side of the road that was smoking and was soon to be in flames. My instinct was to pull over and help but I kept going for a few miles. With me being the morbid fuck that I am since I'm on this site, i turned back around to have a look see only to discover that a major accident happened at that very spot. I was so glad that I didnt pull over the first time. From then on I made a note to just keep going whenever I spot the early stage of traffic problems. At least for that situation.
