Re: Aftermath - Thief Fell While Trying to Steal Wiring, Got Impaled on Fence
Excellent questions. The key seems to be: is the repentance genuine? I would suppose that it is at least possible for repentance to be genuine under a wide variety of circumstances, including painful ones. The story of the thief on the cross would be one such instance. Christianity teaches that sincere repentance is acceptable to God. I realize that this is all moot for atheists. |

Re: Aftermath - Thief Fell While Trying to Steal Wiring, Got Impaled on Fence
Surely a person would say anything to make torment end. But yes if it is the end of your life and no torturer to confess to, just your own thoughts on the cross, that seems different, why not die cursing God and the world, repenting and reflecting seems more genuine then, for sure.
