Brings into question the nature of the question, is repenting while in physical and mental distress 'accepted'? Is coming to terms with life choices more spiritually meaningful if it is instead done in a moment of quiet reflection in comfortable surroundings? How can we tell if a realisation is due to torture or force, when a man might say anything, or internal revelation from natural thought processes? And does it matter?
