Re: Aftermath - Technician Killed After Air Conditioning Unit Exploded
A lot of times they get serviced with propane or other gases, that work like refrigerant, but are actually explosive. They were selling that shit here in Arizona as a way to quickly recharge your car A/C. Doesn't work very well, and they probably next called the dead guy to come and look at their air conditioner, and when he started messing with it, he set it off, not knowing what it had been serviced with as far as a type of refrigerant. The guy who pumped propane in it is at home with his kids, watching a soccer match. No skin off of his ass. |

Re: Aftermath - Technician Killed After Air Conditioning Unit Exploded
It would be the compressor exploding. That why there are high pressure sensors. Would shut the unit off....
