A man was shot in the head and killed on the night of last Saturday (24) in a mining area located in the municipality of Itaituba.

According to preliminary information, the victim was allegedly assaulting his own wife inside a property when her brother arrived at the scene and witnessed the violence. During the confrontation, the brother-in-law reportedly pulled out a firearm and fired a shot at close range, hitting the man in the head and killing him.

After the homicide, the suspect fled the community and remains at large. The victim’s body remained at the scene until Sunday morning (25), as weather conditions and the remoteness of the region prevented immediate removal.

I’d probably feel like doing the same thing if I walked in my sister’s home to find her being beaten by some schmuck. I would not take kindly to that at all. Not sure I’d shoot him in the head over wanting to beat him to a pulp and have him suffer until law enforcement arrived.
