Re: African Man Begging for His Live is Executed

When Germany reunited in 1990 alot of the old East-German AK47s went missing, I bet some of them and from other former Sowjet-Republics are in Africa now. Also there should be some G3s there, there we're tested in Africa and never came back. And the thing with Germany exports only high-tech weapons to selected countrys is BS, this month H&K were searched by the police because they sell weapons to Saudi-Arabia without a licence.
do you think there was anarchy in Germany in 1990? so somebody can steal houndreds thousands ak47 without witnesses? this is BS. look for some facts, buddy.
Heckler Koch sold licence on G36 rifle to Saudi Arabia. i never saw G36 in Africa, because nobody sold a rifle to different cuntry.

Glad to see someone with a realistic opinion backed up by a few facts. I still think in the video I see an AKM from Cambodia. Of course I can't be absolutely sure with the resolution and the camera jumping all over the place and I couldn't get a clear look at ALL the weapons in the video. In the end who gives a rip what weapon was used and where it was made or how it got in the field or who makes a buck off it. The final determination of how it gets used is only determined by the people behind the trigger. If they are operating under a system of laws or just killing on personal whims. And in the end dead is dead. Killers will use any tool at their disposal. I would far rather be killed with an AK47 than a dull knife by some effing raghead muslim.

Heckler Koch sold licence on G36 rifle to Saudi Arabia. i never saw G36 in Africa, because nobody sold a rifle to different cuntry.
Here are some facts for you.

For example, Russia, the second largest arms exporter after the United States,
sent 14% of its arms and weapons exports for 2005-2009 to Africa, its second largest market. In the same
time period, German arms exports to Africa increased by 100% from 2000-2004, and French exports
increased by 30%.
http://www.aefjn.org/tl_files/aefjn-...rica%20eng.pdf

In addition to the weapons exports reported in Table 1.10, Germany transferred an unspecified amount of
weapons to the Republic of Congo (including 3 helicopters in 2007). Reportedly, Germany also negotiated a
€34 million arms deal with Tunisia in 2005.
German Exports
Burundi 2005 €21,219
Côte d’Ivoire 2005 €39,886
Democratic Republic of Congo 2008** €19,175
Egypt 2005 €1,350
2008* €24,673
Liberia 2005 €36,763
South Africa 2005 €90,263
2006 €242,313
Sudan 2005 €32,483

4.4. EU companies and clandestine shipments to Sudan
Companies based or registered in two EU countries - the UK and Germany - played an important role in
facilitating clandestine shipments of military equipment to Southern Sudan in 2007-2008. Tanks, artillery,
multiple rockets launch systems, rocket propelled grenades and assault rifles were sent to the government
of Southern Sudan, via illicit diversion through Kenya. These transfers risk fuelling armed conflict and
serious violations of international human rights and humanitarian law, but may also have breached existing
EU embargoes, which have been in place for the whole of Sudan since 1994.
Many governments, including the UK, the USA and Germany, were seemingly aware that these deals were
of a clandestine nature and were likely being diverted from Kenya by road and rail to armed forces in
Southern Sudan. Despite such knowledge, EU Member States appear to have failed to meet their
obligations to help prevent serious breaches of existing EU sanctions via companies operating within their
jurisdictions.
The second shipment arrived on board the German-operated MV Beluga Endurance, which departed
Oktyabrsk on 12 December 2007 and arrived in Mombassa on 12 January 2008. The Beluga Endurance was
operated by German company Beluga Shipping GmbH, but Time Chartered by Ace Shipping Ltd of the Isle of
Man, closely associated with Ukrainian company Phoenix Transport Services.
A spokesperson for Phoenix Transport Services told researchers that “the only reason of using Ace Shipping
Co during the vessel’s chartering is the simplification of accounting, as the Ukrainian tax legislation is one of
the most complicated in the world”.
Representatives from Beluga Shipping told researchers the original charter was to move “general
construction equipment” from Ukraine to Kenya and not military equipment. On arriving at Oktyabrsk and
on discovering that the consignment was in fact a large array of weapons and munitions, immediate
enquires were made to relevant government departments in Germany and they were informed that it was
likely these arms were bound for South Sudan.
According to Beluga Shipping, despite an EU embargo and clear concerns over the nature of this cargo, the
German authorities did not make any request to stop the delivery.
This and other research has highlighted a current deficiency in German export controls on transportation
which appear to only cover German-flagged ships, but not ships which are owned or operated by German
firms, but are foreign flagged in other Jurisdictions. In this case, the Beluga Endurance, while operated by a
Germany company was flagged in Antigua and Barbuda.346
Evidence that Ukrainian tanks were diverted to Southern Sudan Compelling evidence, including analysis of
satellite imagery, triangulated with eye witness testimony and interviews with military sources close to the
SPLA in Southern Sudan also strongly suggests that the weapons delivered on the MV Radymshyl and the
MV Beluga Endurance were clandestinely transferred by road and rail through Kenya via the town of
Lokichoggio on the Kenya/Sudan border. For example, eyewitnesses described a series of night time
convoys of low load vehicles in late 2007 and February 2008 with tanks clearly visible either under tarpaulin
sheets or plywood coverings: dates corresponding to the arrival of these two shipments

German Exports

So plainly it is YOUR opinion based on your own fevered imagination that is full of the bullshit you so lamely protest.
OK, Germany exported something to Africa. are you happy now?
it seems like i am talking to retarted child. look on this dokument, Germany exported for 0,5M Euro (3 helicopters sold nobody, german soldiers used 3 old transporthelicopters for UN mission in Congo).
let me write few countries and their export to Africa (in Euro):
Belgium 150M
Czech R. 65M
Estonia 18M
Sweden 700M
France 190M
Italy 170M
Netherlands 66M
Portugal 5M
Spain 38M
UK 142M
Bosnia 9M
Serbia 22M

German export to Africa makes zero zero nothing from all export to Africa. before you say again some bullshit about german ak47, try to use brain if you have one.

and yes, there was some transport of tanks to Sudan, but it was from Ukraine (old soviet weapons) sold to both sides of conflict - its typical case for illegal trade with weapons, black market.

whats next? another pathetic try?

Arms exports show apparent hypocrisy of German foreign policy
At the end of February, a shaky video appeared on YouTube showing Moammar Gadhafi's son Saif al-Islam addressing a raucous crowd in Tripoli. Struggling to keep the regime supporters quiet long enough to speak, Saif promises that weapons will be handed out to fight the opposition forces. As if to show what kind of weapons he means, Saif waves a large machine gun.

This gun has been identified as a Heckler and Koch G36, manufactured in Germany. It's the standard weapon of the German army, is used by police forces around the world, and is considered one of the deadliest assault rifles there is.

Jürgen Grässlin is a veteran activist and chairman of the non-governmental organization Armaments Information Bureau (RIB), which seeks out the details of Germany's weapons exports - both legal and illegal. He has received a lot more requests ever since popular uprisings began in the Middle East and North Africa earlier this year. Many journalists and politicians have been calling to find out precisely which German weapons are being used to suppress which opposition movements in which countries.
Grässlin discovered that in 2009 Heckler and Koch legally sold 13,000 rounds of ammunition for its G3 and MP5 machine guns to the Bahraini government.

"Now we see that in the last few weeks, the Bahraini police has used weapons, including these machine guns, against the democracy movement," Grässlin told Deutsche Welle. "We Germans are once again participating in killing around the world, in this case in Bahrain."

While Gadhafi was not allowed to buy any Heckler and Koch guns officially, he obtained plenty of other German weapons legally. For instance, the German-French owned EADS supplied Gadhafi with 168-million euros ($240 million) worth of anti-tank missiles, plus a number of tank transporters and other military vehicles.

It was inevitable that when the weapons embargo against Libya was lifted in 2004, respected German brands like Daimler and EADS would move in. In some cases literally - EADS even opened an office in Tripoli. Mark Bromley, a researcher with the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), confirms that this was part of a general move.

"There was certainly quite a broad push by a number of defense companies, often with the support of their own national governments, to try to access a potentially lucrative arms market in Libya," he told Deutsche Welle.

Both the German Foreign and Economics Ministries declined to comment directly on Grässlin's accusations, but the Economics Ministry referred Deutsche Welle to its annual weapons exports report. In its explanation of the approval process that governs weapons exports, the report refers to a principle agreed by the cabinet on January, 19, 2000: "Armaments exports are categorically not approved if there is 'sufficient suspicion' that the armaments in question are being used for internal repression or other continuing and systematic human rights abuses."

In the cases of the EADS deals with Libya and the Heckler and Koch deals with Bahrain at least, it appears this principle was disregarded.

It's the gap between the human rights rhetoric and the active encouragement of the arms trade that Grässlin finds most "sickening."

"In Germany the contradiction is really extreme," he said. "They say on the one hand they don't deliver weapons to countries that abuse human rights, but then every year you can read in the weapons exports reports which human rights-abusing countries have been supplied with German weapons. There is no area of German foreign and economic policy that is so dishonest and which has so many consequences in terms of the number of victims than the arms industry."

Sixty-five years after the end of World War II, Germany is once again a leader in the world arms industry. The main responsibility for this development lies with the former Social Democratic Party (SPD)-Green Party government. During its term in office (1998-2005), it allowed the deployment of the Bundeswehr (Armed Forces) outside the NATO area and practically deregulated arms exports.

Last Monday, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) published a report on the global interstate arms trade between 2005 and 2009. According to its findings, German arms exports more than doubled compared to the period between 2000 and 2004, reaching a new peak since the end of World War II.
