They look desperate to get to the boat so they probably have good reasons to try to flee their countries. There will be more and more people like that because of global warming. We will be fucked in so many ways. I feel sympathy for these people as individuals, but their cultures have some qualities that suck from the western perspective and we just can't take everybody here. There is really no other good solution to this problem, than to try to prevent the global political and environmental situation going into complete shit. Otherwise there will be so huge bloodpaths that we have never seen anything like that.

it amazes me people (especially adults) can't swim or tread water, it's not hard, they can't even do it to save their life! surely natural instincts would kick in to keep your head above the water  p.s yes I realize they are from Africa where they probably have had little to no swimming experience, but comon, how hard can it be

Apparently something like 70% of black people cant swim, with reasons ranging from denser bones and muscle than white people, to not having access to water. Whatever the reason - most black folk can't swim. |
