It doesn't really look fake, but has to be fake. She could have EASILY spun around and got her head above the water without even remove the ties around her hands and feet.

It looks fairly obvious to me. Tied up in this particular position (with feet bound and tied to showerhead above head). Then the shower is turned on and left to run in a plugged tub. Video camera rolling, tub fills up and then... freak out, can't get up to get air. Looks like first degree murder to me.
