If a bystander stole that heart, will the police have to place them under cardiac arrest?

not only his spirit decided to leave his body
Wasn't the most lucky guy seeing those two crutches.
Great find
I guess he wasn't quick enough on those crutches. Well, he won't be having that problem again...

How many Death Race points do you get for man on crutches?

Re: Accident Victim's Heart Still Beating In The Road

Can someone explain the electrical science behind this please. It’s fascinating.
The heart has its own pacemakers (starting with the SA node) that, with or without innervation from the CNS, rhythmically triggers a wave of electrical activation across the upper chambers of the heart causing it to contract, which then triggers a similar wave of activity in the lower chambers. There just hasn’t been enough time without blood flow to this heart so it just keeps on doing what hearts do. After enough time goes by without oxygenated blood flow its local energy reserves will be depleted, toxic byproducts will build up, and the heart’s cellular environment will become too toxic for the contractions to continue (and it will die.)

He has a pulse, but he doesn’t seem to be breathing. Maybe someone ought to start with rescue breaths. Get him a tourniquet. Treat for shock. All that.

The natural pacemaker; a bundle of nerves that channel electricity through the cardiac muscle which make it contract.

You've heard of artificial pacemakers; they are designed to do the exact same thing .
