Re: Accident in Thailand Leaves 2 British Men Faceless
they do this as a sort of scare tactic... they also publicly parade people caught dealing drugs on live tv all handcuffed and shit and basically say 'look at this guy right here. he's gonna be sentenced to death now. do you wanna deal drugs, kids? do you wanna end up like this guy here?' it's basically the same thing. i can pretty much guarantee you that this would have been shown on the news over there as a sort of message to all the people to NOT drive like an absolute bellend, which is what a lot of british people in thailand do. if you've ever been to thailand you will know that the majority of thai people drive really slow, even on the open roads, probably because of scare tactics like this. it's the tuk tuk drivers that are a bit mental, but they know what they're doing most of the time. |

Re: Accident in Thailand Leaves 2 British Men Faceless
I wonder what the helmet laws are there. The guy renting out bikes to tourists should give them proper helmets (though I've rented bikes/scooters and never saw or asked for one) Gotta wonder how many bikes he loses this way. Love how the cop/medic wraps #1 up - then unwraps for a photo - then drags him over beside #2 IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD for some pointer photo ops. And a lot of onlookers should be checking/scraping the bottom of their flip flops at their front doors.

I'm thinking because these are countries where they dont usually stop gawkers from filming anything inside the police cordon or lines. other countries usually restrict most civilian from going anywhere near the site until they're finish with the preliminaries.
