Re: Accident, Person Still Alive
I am surprised he was not totally paralyzed. He had to be from the waist down. I can't imagine how he will live t he rest of his life if he survived that ordeal.

Re: Accident, Person Still Alive
A C collar and spine board is probably all you can do from the street. Maybe some large sheets of gauze where she is bleeding out, cover her with a blanket and head to the nearest trauma center. A friend of mine told me of a call he went on...vehicle accident on a gridded bridge that was torn down years later. A guy was driving a truck carrying mirrors. The impact sent a mirror through him. He told me of medics talking to him and he was even smoking a cigarette with this mirror dividing him in half. Another medic came up and freaked out seeing the injury and blurted "this guy is cut in half!" or something to that effect (it was a long time ago). The man looked down at himself and died on the spot. Some people do not realize just how bad their injuries are until they see themselves and become conscientious of it. He would have died anyway, that was obvious, but they were trying to make his last moments as comforting as possible. |
