If she had stayed still, the bull would have walked right by her. He was already 3/4 of the way past her, when she hit him. Another 10 seconds and the biggest risk would have been his tail.

That old lady was the instigator. She purposefully stopped walking to block the bull from entering the side alley. Then she wacked him with a cane when the bull skirted around her. She would have lived to see another day if she just Gandhied the situation.  |
