India, A tourist group from Malappuram consisted of 13 passengers, mainly composed primarily of teachers and staff from Pang Government Lower Primary School and Parammal ALP School, along with their family members and kids were travelling in a Tempo Traveller minibus yesterday around 5:30 PM when at the height of hairpin bend 13 the driver lost control of the bus and jumped the mountain road barrier and plunged approx. 800 feet down and came to rest on the 9th hairpin bend.

Nine people lost their lives, including 7 women, one man, and one teenager.

The victims were identified as: Ajitha, 54, being the headmistress at Parammal ALP School, Ramla, 52, a Teacher from GLP School, Suhara, 43, a teacher from GLP School, Asha, 41, a teacher from GLP School, Abdul M, 43, a teacher from GLP School, Shakeena, 37, a teacher from GUP School, Sajitha , 45, being a school cooking staff member, Rukhiya, 39, wife of teacher Abdul M, 43, and Hisham being the son of teacher Suhara, 43.

The minibus driver, 21, and sub driver, 39, got seriously injured together with a 11 year old boy and 10 year old girl.

Looks like that vehicle very nearly continued its slinky-ing down the mountainside, THIS rail happened to stop it. We can presume it was end-over-ending or such otw down, there are probably a couple of bodies still up the hillside a bit that were thrown clear before things stopped here.

Good find !! Unfortunately the camera operator was obviously an FNG !!! He just couldn't seem to figure out what, who or how he was supposed to use the strange contraption that made strange noises and sometimes flashes pictures and lights
