75 Year Old Man Shoots, Fights and Stabs a 71 Yo Grave Digger Out of Jealousy
Brazil, Yesterday Police arrested 75-year-old Sebastião accused of killing 71 year old Geraldo the grave digger with shots, butts and stabs. The victim was the gravedigger of the local cemetery, in the district of São Braz.  The homicide happened late on the evening of January 7. Sebastião would have argued with the victim and then went home and took a .32 caliber revolver with him. The video shows Sebastião firing several shots at Geraldo, that holds a knife, before the two got engaged in a corporal fight.  However, Geraldo, already very weakened by the injuries of the shots, can not get rid of the aggressive Sebastião. The accused uses the butt of the revolver to strike the victim's head while fending off possible knife stabs of the victim. At the end of the fight Sebastião got hold of the knife and thrusts the knife into Geraldo's side/abdomen before backing off. EMS that arrived to rescue the victim came too late as he was dead by than.  Everything happened in front of a bar and several people witnessed the crime. The Civil Police had represented by pre-trial detention what was granted by justice. On Tuesday, the police officers went to a rural property in the municipality and arrested Sebastião. He will respond for double qualified homicide, a feature that prevented the victim's defense and mockery motive. The police verified that the crime was fueled by jealousy. Geraldo gave Sebastião's wife some banana tree seeds, which would have started a rage by the accused.  The .32 caliber revolver used in the crime was also seized.
