Totally understand what your saying and agree. However this man wasn’t on duty. He was off duty in plain clothes in his own vehicle. A punch in the face from an overly testosterone laden criminal can be fatal regardless of age or occupation!

What exactly is the “point”? Why wouldn’t he be working at 70? My grandparents didn’t retire from running their own corporation until 90! Age is relative to each individual, some people are “old” at 50 and others may never get “old”. This youth obsessed society really sucks. Get to a certain age and your expected stop living your life and just curl up an die at the bingo parlor and maybe that’s what some folks want to do but not everyone wants to be the stereotypical feeble little old person!
Running a corporation and being a cop that has to deal with violent criminals is not the same thing, a 70 year old is too old to be a cop, that's my fucking point, in my country it would never happen for good reason...getting it now smart arse.
