One of Two Drugstore Robbers Shot and Killed by Plainclothed Cop
Brazil, An 18-year-old armed robber was shot by a military police officer while trying to rob a drugstore on Sunday. His companion escaped with the establishment's money, police said. In the video two robbers, at least one of them armed, surprises the employees and tell them to hand over the money from the cash till drawers. Noticing the apprehension of customers and staff inside the facility, one of the assailants moves around threatening the victims by pointing a gun. An old woman lies on the floor and a man appears crouched seconds before a police officer, without a uniform, surprises him. The criminal is shot at least twice and falls to the ground. Then the policeman manages to disarm him and in the background the other robber, who collected the money from the drawers runs away. No employee or client was injured during the action, police said. The assailant was rescued in critical condition but died during surgery at the Hospital. His weapon was seized. |
