Venezuela. L. C. A. P, 19 years old, had ended the relationship she had with her 55 years old partner three weeks ago due to the mistreatment that he gave her.

The 19-year-old woman was killed with a firearm on the afternoon of Friday, June 11, by her ex-partner. Officials from the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps were called to the scene and when confronted with the police he was trying to flee from the scene of the crime.

The murderer went by the name of E. E. E. P, alias “the cat”. The 55-year-old killer had a police record of robbery.

Another man called her to tell her that he had sent him some of her clothes and that he had to go out to meet her at a place near his house. Then she told him that she was going to send a cousin to look for the clothes, but the man said no, that he had told him that he should deliver the clothes to her directly, ”says the relative.

The victim decided to go to the agreed place with another cousin, and there he found that his ex-partner was coming in a vehicle with whom he had contacted her by phone.

When he saw her, the ex partner got out armed and the two began to argue. Soon after, the police officers arrived and it was when the murderer decided to shoot his victim.

“He lived in Mérida and came to Tovar with every intention of committing the crime. It was something planned, ”said the source close to the victim.

According to the Femicide Monitor maintained by the Utopix alternative communication community, seven femicides have occurred in Mérida so far in 2021. In 2020 there were five, according to the registry of the Mérida Feminist Network.
