Depends where you live. You see people riding horses on the road quite a lot here in the UK out on the country roads. There's a sort of unofficial code everyone abides to that you slow down to about 10mph when overtaking them as to not scare them and throw the rider off. I've never seen or heard of a horse related accident on a road in the UK. Loads of horses die every year in horse racing and other horse related sporting events here though. The gypsies over here love riding a horse and cart right through the town/city though. That said, they do take a lot of pride in their horses and treat them like a boy racer treats his car. They take them to competitions and everything. They're usually shire horses too. Look them up, they're badass  |
