Then you have the same mindset as all the extremists and terrorists in the world. They think they are the only ones that matter, and that is how they rationalise the atrocities they commit. They also think everyone in the West is the same, when no one really is. Diversity is a pretty big thing all across the world.

I feel bad for the victims of natural disasters, of terrorist attacks, of mental health problems, and of freak accidents like we see here. Someone's race or religion is completely irrelevant in those situations.

For me, the only ones I care little about are those who only have themselves to blame, like robbers or terrorists.

I'm equal opportunity indifferent - I don't feel bad for any strangers anywhere. Must have missed the empathy gene.
