Jawa Timur, Indonesia. On Monday, December 23, 2024, at 17.51 ​​WIB, a suicide occurred by a student at the University building. The victim, D.R.Y.N, male, 21 year old, studying at the Faculty of Social & Political Sciences and Sociology Department, class of 2023 jumped from the 8th floor (other sources mention 7th floor) of the building and ended up in the yard.

Two witnesses heard something falling and then checked outside and found a man lying unconscious. They called the police and at 18.15 WIB an initial examination was carried out by a Doctor of the University and the victim was declared dead.

CSI resulted in the victim's belongings were left on the 8th floor of the building in the form of a red sling bag containing 2 cellphones and a SIM in the name of the victim. Some cash money was found and in the parking lot a green motorcycle was left behind which matched the license in the victim's bag.

Based on the findings on the victim's phone a message at 17.49 WIB was found saying "Goodbye". Reason could be family problems and/or bullying according to other students.

The victim's body was taken to the morgue of the local Hospital.
